Netflix Officially Sets New Theatrical Release From ’28 Years Later’ Director
Netflix has set a limited cinema release for Danny Boyle’s next film, Ink, before its streaming debut. The move gives the film a chance to qualify for awards consideration and places it prominently in the 2026–27 awards season.
Ink will open in selected cinemas on 11 December 2026 and arrive on Netflix on 8 January 2027. Starring Jack O’Connell, Claire Foy and Guy Pearce, it follows visionaries and misfits attempting to create a new kind of news; it will compete for the Golden Lion at Venice before screening at the Toronto International Film Festival.
