Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 Delayed Out of the September Crush, Dev Updates Roadmap of DLC
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 has been delayed from 17 September to 3 December 2026, with Commander Edition owners receiving access from 30 November. Developer King Art Games said the extra two and a half months will be used to improve performance, fix bugs and add polish, while also moving the strategy game away from a crowded September release schedule.
The delay pushes the game’s free Year 1 content into 2027. Planned updates include Crusade Mode, four map packs, two Last Stand Crusades and a mission editor, while paid content will add a Blood Ravens story prologue in spring and the Aftermath campaign expansion, including a new faction, in summer.
- Dawn of War 4 now launches on 3 December 2026.
- Developers cite optimisation, bug fixes and extra polish.
- Free post-launch content has moved into 2027.
