Irish post-punk band Gurriers have released ‘Nothing Happens Twice’, the third single from their forthcoming second album, ‘Nobody’s Coming To Save You’. Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’, the track addresses modern stagnation, political unease and digital alienation, including fears that online spaces are increasingly dominated by bots; it matters as a further indication of the band’s increasingly ambitious and socially engaged sound.

The album is due on 25 September via Play It Again Sam, following the title track, ‘Party Lines’ and last autumn’s ‘Erasure’. Its video, directed by Thomas James, was filmed in the hometown of drummer Pierce O’Callaghan and guitarist Mark MacCormack, while Gurriers will play several UK and European festivals this month before an autumn headline tour and record-shop dates across the UK and Ireland.
