‘Traces Of Home’ Trailer: Award-Winning Film From E.P.s Melissa Barrera And John Leguizamo Tells Story Of Love And Forced Displacement
The award-winning documentary Traces of Home, directed by first-time filmmaker Colette Ghunim, will receive a US theatrical release from Watermelon Pictures. Executive produced by Melissa Barrera and John Leguizamo, it follows Ghunim and her parents as they revisit the Mexican and Palestinian homes her parents were forced to leave as children, examining displacement, memory and family trauma.
The film opens in New York on 18 September, following a 16 September preview and Q&A with Ghunim and Barrera, before opening in Los Angeles on 25 September and expanding nationally during October.
