All Modern Warfare 4 beta rewards and how to get them
Activision has confirmed that all players who reach level 30 during either weekend of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta will unlock a full set of cosmetic rewards to carry over into the finished game. The beta, described as the franchise's largest yet, includes access to multiplayer, a campaign mission and a preview of Warzone's new Resurgence map, Zodiac, giving players several ways to earn experience towards the milestone.
The first beta weekend runs from 21 to 25 August and requires a pre-order, while the second weekend, from 28 August to 1 September, will be open to all players for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. Eight rewards are on offer in total, unlocked progressively from level 4 through to level 30, including an emblem, weapon charm, sticker, calling card, operator skin, spray, loading screen and, at the top tier, a weapon blueprint. Modern Warfare 4 is set for release on 23 October.
In short
- MW4 beta runs 21-25 Aug (pre-order) and 28 Aug-1 Sept (free).
- Reaching level 30 in the beta unlocks all eight rewards.
- Rewards carry over into the full game, out 23 October.
Explained simply
Call of Duty is a video game series with multiplayer modes where players earn experience and progress through levels. A beta is an early version of a game that lets players try some content before release; progress and rewards may carry over if the game’s publisher says they will.
Activision makes and publishes Call of Duty games. Modern Warfare 4 is the next title in the series, and its beta includes multiplayer alongside previews of other parts of the game. Cosmetic rewards change how a player’s character or equipment looks, rather than providing a gameplay advantage.
The beta is planned for several platforms, with one period requiring a pre-order and a later period open to all players. Its level-based rewards matter to players who want items ready to use when the full game is released.
