Denshattack developer Undercoders has released a free update introducing a new "platinum" medal tier, giving players who had already mastered the game's gold-medal rankings a fresh challenge to pursue. Denshattack, an arcadey action title where players control a stunt-performing train, has been one of 2026's notable indie hits, and the update extends its replay value by raising the bar for top performance across its levels.

Platinum medals are awarded retroactively based purely on score, without requiring specific completion times or side objectives called "Dares," and the game does not reveal the exact score thresholds needed. Of the game's 65 levels, players who previously achieved gold are not guaranteed platinum, and earning platinum on every stage unlocks a special new train, mirroring the reward for all-gold completion. The update also adds a cutscene replay option, accessible via a clapperboard icon on the map screen.
