Mark Wahlberg's 2023 Apple TV film The Family Plan has returned to prominence on the streaming service's charts nearly three years after its release, currently ranking No. 4 according to FlixPatrol. The action-comedy blends the two contrasting sides of Wahlberg's career, combining suburban family life with the tough-guy, thriller elements seen in films such as Shooter and Lone Survivor, alongside the comedic tone of works like Ted and Daddy's Home.

The film follows Wahlberg's character Dan Morgan, an apparently ordinary suburban car salesman with a secret past as a government assassin, who must protect his unsuspecting wife and children when old enemies resurface, disguising a frantic escape as a family road trip to Las Vegas. Despite a lukewarm critical reception, holding just a 27% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film's popularity led Apple to produce a sequel, The Family Plan 2, released in 2025 with Wahlberg and co-star Michelle Monaghan reprising their roles for a European-set follow-up.
