Wyze has launched a new pan-and-tilt indoor security camera, the Indoor Cam Pan, priced at $39.98, with a lens that can retract fully into the camera body for privacy. The device rotates a full 360 degrees and its lens tilts up to 103 degrees, disappearing from view when not in use so it cannot record anything in the home. This positions it as a cheaper, privacy-conscious alternative within Wyze's existing camera line-up.

The new model undercuts Wyze's £44.98 Cam Pan v3, though that older device offers a wider 180-degree tilt range and outdoor-rated water resistance, features the new indoor-only camera lacks. The Indoor Cam Pan records at 2K resolution, an improvement on the v3's 1080p but below the pricier $59.98 Cam Pan v4's 4K output. Additional features include a quieter motor, AI motion tracking that can filter out robot vacuums and ignore activity outside custom zones, night vision (with frame rates dropping from 20fps to 15fps in low light), a microSD slot supporting up to 512GB, a 95-decibel alarm, and two-way audio, alongside compatibility with Wyze's Cam Plus and Cam Unlimited subscriptions.
