POLYPHIA Announces New Album ‘Be Not Afraid’, Shares ‘Power In The Blood’ Single

Blabbermouth ·

Polyphia have announced their fifth studio album, ‘Be Not Afraid’, due for release on 23 October through Rise Records, alongside the new single ‘Power In The Blood’. The accompanying video, filmed in Rio de Janeiro’s São Francisco da Penitência Church, presents the band against elaborate Baroque surroundings and introduces the record’s darker, more ambitious direction.

The band wrote the album across sessions in Miami, Los Angeles and Dallas during 2024 and 2025, working with co-producer RJ Pasin and guitarist Spiro Dussias. Tim Henson and Scott LePage said the group adopted a more collaborative writing process, blending metal, progressive rock and house influences while exploring contrasts between uplifting and frightening moods. Henson described the album as a response to disturbing aspects of the world, aiming to create something beautiful rather than become paralysed by them.
