Burger King Is Getting A ‘Dragon Ball’ Crossover
Burger King is launching a limited-time Dragon Ball Super promotion in the United States from 1 September, marking the latest example of a major anime franchise crossing over into mainstream fast food marketing. The tie-in reflects Dragon Ball's enduring global popularity, coming as the franchise continues to expand with new anime instalments and games, and cements its arrival as a mainstream cultural fixture in America.
The promotion includes a "Dragon Ball Super Power Up Pack" combo featuring 10-piece chicken nuggets served with a teriyaki-style "Super Saiyan sauce", a medium fries, and a mango peach boba lemonade called the "Dragon Ball Burst". Customers can also collect one of six exclusive anime figurines, including Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Beerus, with a King Jr. meal option also available for the toys.
