Casio appears set to introduce a genuinely new G-Shock design, with leaked images pointing to upcoming GMC-2500 (metal) and GAC-2500 (resin) series that bear a strong resemblance to Patek Philippe's Nautilus, thanks to prominent "shoulders" on either side of the case. This follows the brand's popular "CasiOak" model, which echoes Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, suggesting Casio is again drawing on iconic luxury watch design cues to create an affordable alternative, fuelling online nicknames such as "CasioNaut" and "CasioTilus". Casio has not responded to requests for comment, so details remain unconfirmed.

According to Notebookcheck, the resin GAC-2500 line is said to draw on the DNA of the original 1983 DW-5000C and will reportedly come in four colourways (white, black, green and yellow) priced around 20,900 yen (roughly $134), while the steel GMC-2500 is expected to cost about $320. Unusually for a G-Shock, the watches are said to be fully analogue, featuring a small seconds subdial, a date window, and Casio's Magnetic Holding Structure, which lets the hands absorb impact without breaking. Both versions reportedly measure around 46–47mm across and 12.7–12.9mm thick, with a rumoured launch in November.
