Anthrax played a low-key show on 4 September 2026 at the new Brooklyn location of Saint Vitus Bar, using the gig to debut new material and cover Sick Of It All's "Clobberin' Time" for the first time. The performance comes as the veteran thrash metal band prepares to release its twelfth studio album, "Cursum Perficio", on 18 September, its first new record in a decade.

The setlist featured live debuts of "The Edge Of Perfection", "Everybody's Got A Plan" and "NYC 93", alongside a Trust cover of "Antisocial" and songs not performed since 2021. Formed in Queens in 1981, Anthrax recorded the new album at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Los Angeles, with the title translating from Latin as "my journey is complete"; it follows 2016's Top 10 album "For All Kings" and will be released via Megaforce and Nuclear Blast in multiple vinyl and CD formats.
