An Arizona hospital maintenance worker collapsed in court on Monday after prosecutors told the judge he could face up to a century in prison if convicted on 10 felony counts of sexually exploiting a minor. Joshua James Lozano, 42, was arrested last week following an investigation that traced explicit material shared online back to his internet account, phone number and IP address. Medics treated him during the hearing before he was returned to police custody, and proceedings resumed once he had recovered.

Prosecutor Ashley Stetson argued for a $150,000 cash bond and strict internet restrictions, noting each of the 10 charges carries a potential 10-year sentence to be served consecutively, and raised concerns for local children's safety amid claims Lozano had been messaging minors online. His defence lawyer sought a lower $50,000 secured bond with electronic monitoring, citing his eight years living in Glendale with his wife, though he has prior arrests for DUI and driving on a suspended licence. The judge ultimately set bond at $150,000, and Lozano, who works at Banner Del E Webb Medical Center, is due back in court on 21 September.
