Logitech unveils pricier G Pro X3 haptic gaming mouse
Logitech has announced the G Pro X3 Superstrike, a haptics-based gaming mouse launching on 6 October for $199.99. It builds on the unusual click technology of the G Pro X2, replacing mechanical switches with haptic actuators that reduce latency and allow users to customise or disable the click sensation, but the upgrades are relatively modest.
The X3 adds wireless 8,000Hz polling, improved weight distribution, a more responsive Hero 2 sensor and battery life of up to 135 hours, compared with 90 hours for the X2. It weighs two grams less in the US, while the EMEA version weighs 61 grams, and offers higher resolution, acceleration and maximum speed; the X2 will remain available for $179.99 and may receive discounts.
