A Japanese remake of CJ ENM’s Korean drama “Quiz From God” will stream exclusively on Prime Video from 4 December, starring Mamiya Shotaro as neurosurgeon-turned-forensic pathologist Hatsushima Haruto. The series follows Haruto as he investigates unusual deaths, uncovering rare diseases and wider social problems while confronting his own serious illness and a hidden secret from his past.

The original Korean drama, led by Ryu Deok-hwan, ran for five seasons and became a major domestic success. The Japanese adaptation retains its core investigative premise but introduces a new Tokyo setting, tone and perspective, with cases involving an underground idol’s death, an illegal job and a fatal first date; Mamiya said the project was first proposed to him over a decade ago.
