Roseanne Barr has criticised former co-star Michael Fishman, calling him a “brainwashed bigot” after he said the 2018 reboot of *Roseanne* was “rightfully cancelled”. Barr disputed his understanding of comments that led to the show’s cancellation and said she no longer maintains relationships with her former castmates.

The reboot premiered successfully in March 2018 but was cancelled two months later after Barr posted a racist remark about Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser to Barack Obama. ABC dismissed Barr and later launched the spin-off *The Conners* without her; Barr said she declined an invitation to return as a ghost after her character was killed off.
