Korn’s Fieldy and Head Reunite Onstage for First Time in Five Years
Korn bassist Fieldy and guitarist Brian “Head” Welch reunited onstage in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday, marking their first performance together in five years. Fieldy’s return is notable because he has been away from Korn since taking a hiatus in 2021, while Ra Diaz has played bass with the band in his place.
The pair appeared at a new Boise venue opened by Christian rock collective The Whosoevers, whose members include musicians from Korn, P.O.D and Flyleaf. Fieldy performed “Boom” with P.O.D.’s Sonny Sandoval; Head joined for “Alive”, and both later performed the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” and DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You” with Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm. Korn are due to begin a UK and European tour in October.
