Phasmophobia confirms 30 million sales as its Crimson Eye Halloween event returns

Eurogamer ·

Phasmophobia, the co-operative ghost-hunting game, has surpassed 30 million sales across PC and console since launching in Early Access in 2020. Developer Kinetic Games has marked this milestone by returning the Crimson Eye Halloween event, which runs until 1 November and introduces challenging blood moon weather conditions alongside exclusive cosmetics and fundraising.

Crimson Eye features rotating daily maps where blood moon weather makes ghosts faster and deadlier whilst draining sanity more quickly, but offers higher rewards in return. The event includes community and personal goals unlocking cosmetics, trophies, and items, whilst Ghost Hunts 4 Hearts from 26 October to 1 November supports the American Heart Association, which raised over $100,000 last year. Phasmophobia's full 1.0 release is scheduled for the second half of 2027, and the game is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
