Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra, S9 FE and S9 FE+ are due to receive their final major Android update in 2026: One UI 9, based on Android 17. This marks the end of their promised operating-system upgrades, although security updates are expected to continue for about two more years.

The S9 tablets launched in 2023 with Android 13 and were promised four major OS upgrades and five years of security patches, likely lasting until 2028.
