A Remaster Of The Best Shrek Game Ever Just Leaked
An early Xbox Store listing has revealed a remaster of the 2004 Shrek 2 tie-in game, bringing the film’s characters back to gaming ahead of the planned Shrek 5. The leak matters to fans of the original, a well-regarded isometric action-adventure that stood out among licensed games of its era.
The now-deleted listing, spotted on 16 October, named Aspyr as developer and described a visual overhaul, photo mode and cheat mode. Steam achievements had hinted at the project in September, and the store page reportedly included an announcement trailer, but no release date or official announcement has been confirmed. The remaster may arrive before Shrek 5’s scheduled cinema release on 30 June 2027.
