Rare black leopard shares food with two adult cubs in Kenya
Wildlife photographer Andy Rouse spotted a rare black leopard, Giza, with her two normally coloured cubs in Kenya’s Laikipia region earlier this month. Black leopards are seldom seen in Africa, especially on open savannah, making the family sighting notable.
Giza is seven years old, while her cubs, Zawadi and Nyota, are two and able to fend for themselves. Rouse said Giza remains affectionate and shares food with them: after making a kill, she ate some and then brought Zawadi over to feed.
