Dame Sarah Storey exits Strictly after fourth-week dance-off defeat

Dame Sarah Storey and professional partner Julian Caillon were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing in the show’s fourth week. All the judges voted to save Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu in the dance-off, making Storey and Caillon the third couple to leave; the result marks an early end to the Paralympian’s first appearance on the programme.

Their Tango scored 21 points, placing them at the bottom of Saturday’s leaderboard, though judges praised its attitude and drama. Storey, 48, has won 30 Paralympic medals, including 19 golds, and said she was proud of the weeks spent learning from Caillon. Singer Delta Goodrem missed the show with a rib injury and received a bye, with the intention of returning next weekend.
