‘The Gilded Age’: 2 Supporting Characters Not Returning For Season 4
Patrick Page and Sullivan Jones will not return as series regulars for season four of HBO’s The Gilded Age, as the drama’s growing ensemble makes room for other characters. Their absence follows storylines that left both characters’ futures open, and either could still appear as a guest in a later season.
Page played George Russell’s secretary Richard Clay, who was fired, joined a rival and became a suspect after George was shot in season three. Jones played publisher T. Thomas Fortune, Peggy Scott’s former mentor, whose unwanted advances led to conflict with Peggy and a fight with her suitor, William Kirkland. Both actors were series regulars in season two before returning to recurring status in season three; season four premieres on 1 November, and its trailer has reached 43 million YouTube views.
