Amazon is phasing out Fire HD tablets, but not without some big discounts first

Amazon is phasing out its Fire HD tablets in favour of more expensive Alexa Tablets, but the Fire HD 10 is available at a record low price. The discount gives shoppers a chance to buy an affordable tablet for everyday entertainment and browsing as Amazon shifts its range.

The ad-supported 2023 Fire HD 10 costs $72.99, a saving of $82, and is slightly cheaper than the Fire HD 8. It has a 10.1-inch 1080p display, up to 13 hours of battery life, a headphone jack and 32GB of storage expandable to 1TB by microSD; Amazon says it will continue receiving security updates. It runs Fire OS, supports Alexa Plus for Prime members, and can run some sideloaded Android apps, though its modest specifications may limit performance.
