NBC’s Cancelled Cult Sci-Fi Series Officially Returns With New Netflix Spin-Off in 2027

Netflix is developing Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery, a spin-off of the science-fiction series Manifest, which NBC cancelled in 2021 before Netflix revived it. The new series is scheduled to begin filming in Vancouver in January 2027, extending the story world built around the original show’s unexplained flight.

Production listings give a filming period from 19 January to 9 June 2027, with episodes expected to run for about 60 minutes; the episode count has not been announced. The story begins when a mysterious plane crash-lands in Denver and its passengers emerge without memories of who they are. Jeff Rake returns as executive producer and co-showrunner, alongside original-series veterans Margaret Easley and Laura Putney.
