Watch INK Make Her TV Debut in ‘Fire Country’: ‘I’m All About Painting Where It Ain’t’

Songwriter-performer INK makes her scripted television debut on CBS drama *Fire Country*, performing her new song “American Reject” at Smokey’s Bar. The appearance gives her a new platform as a performer and brings her music into a story about firefighter Bode Leone’s efforts to prove a volunteer firefighting programme can help Edgewater.

“American Reject” is about overcoming adversity and turning other people’s doubts into motivation. INK says the song came to her within minutes and that the show wrote her into the script, making the role a childhood dream come full circle. The song and video are due at midnight on Friday via Vydia; INK has also co-written hits including Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ’Em” and Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther”.
