Final James Bond screen tests to take place this weekend, reports say

BBC Entertainment ·

Callum Turner, Jack Lowden and Josh O’Connor are among the actors reportedly taking part in final screen tests to become the next James Bond. The auditions mark a late stage in choosing Daniel Craig’s successor, though the reports differ on who is involved and no appointment has been announced.

Between three and five actors are understood to have reached the final stage, with tests covering stunts, camera presence and dialogue. The process was reportedly delayed from early October by scheduling conflicts; sources say at least four offers to test were made. Amazon MGM Studios began casting in May, and producer Amy Pascal suggested news could come by the end of the year, but there is no confirmed decision date. Craig played Bond in five films over 15 years, ending with 2021’s *No Time to Die*.
