Beloved college student who appeared in Netflix show is killed by driver going triple the speed limit, police say
Morgan Gamble, a 21-year-old Clark Atlanta University student who appeared as a background performer in Netflix’s reboot of *A Different World*, died after a car crash in Atlanta. Police say Nikolai Dunford, 36, was driving at 94mph in a 35mph zone when his Lexus struck Gamble’s Mazda; he was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving and first-degree vehicular homicide.
Gamble was in her senior year, studying Mass Media Arts Production, and worked with the university’s television station and film club, as well as on Atlanta productions. Her family says she was active in her community and has established the Morgan Lee Scholarship to support students in her programme. Witnesses and relatives have also raised concerns about safety at the intersection, where a nearby resident said they had seen previous crashes.
