London and New York-linked collaborative project thredd have released “Swimming”, a new wave-inspired single shaped by the energy of touring and city nights. The song follows their 2025 debut album and its reworked companion, extending the project’s exploration of its music through a new release.
The group describes the track as a “lighter younger sister” to “Party”, following two people as they move from gigs to bars and clubs across London. It arrives after performances at Green Man, End of the Road and RALLY, where Dev Hynes selected thredd for the main stage; the accompanying video was directed and produced by Imogen.
