Celine Dion To Perform Paul McCartney’s Original Songs For Animated Feature ‘High In The Clouds’

Celine Dion will sing original songs written and composed by Paul McCartney for the animated film *High in the Clouds*, adapted from his children’s novel. Her involvement adds a major musical performance to the project and comes shortly after she returned to live concerts in Paris following years away from major touring.

The film follows teenage squirrel Wirral, voiced by Himesh Patel, who sets out to restore music after it is banned in his town. Dion voices his mother, Sugartail; Hannah Waddingham voices the owl behind the ban, while McCartney, Patel and Waddingham also perform music in the film. Michael Giacchino is composing the score, and Universal Music Group will release the soundtrack worldwide. Dion’s Paris residency drew about 550,000 people across 16 shows.
