Explained simply
The Youth Music Awards recognise emerging artists, young leaders and community music projects across Britain. They focus on music made and supported at grassroots level, including work in youth clubs, community centres and local programmes.
These settings can give young people chances to make music, take part in creative activities and connect with others. They can also help new artists and music leaders develop their skills.
The awards bring attention to both individual achievement and the organisations supporting young people’s music. This helps show the role local projects play in Britain’s wider music scene.
