Spurs’ Maddison fit to face Palace – De Zerbi

James Maddison is available for Tottenham’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Saturday, manager Roberto De Zerbi says. The update eases concerns after the midfielder limped off during Spurs’ 2-0 win at Chelsea, particularly given his recent history of serious injuries.

Maddison missed much of last season with an ACL injury and fractured his shoulder on the opening weekend this season. He returned to the starting line-up earlier this month, scoring against Coventry, and has since featured in wins over Coventry and Chelsea. De Zerbi said Maddison had trained less than his team-mates this week, and that Spurs would assess whether to risk him; the club are 14th in the Premier League.
