Explained simply
EA Sports FC 27 is a football video game with an Ultimate Team mode, where players build squads using digital cards of real and fictional footballers. The Road to the Knockouts promotion is linked to European club competitions run by UEFA.
Some cards in the promotion can receive stronger ratings if the players or their clubs meet specified targets in those competitions. This connects in-game squad building with real match results, and can make the cards more appealing to players.
