Warriors’ Draymond Green throws Suns player to floor, grabs opponent’s jersey in heated confrontation

Draymond Green was ejected after grabbing Phoenix Suns centre Khaman Maluach around the waist and throwing him to the floor, then grabbing Dillon Brooks by the jersey. The confrontation came during the third quarter of Golden State’s game and added to Green’s history of on-court disputes.

Green received two technical fouls, his first ejection of the season. The Warriors were trailing 67-57 with 10 minutes left in the third quarter but came back to win 116-113. Brooks said he had tried to calm the situation, while Maluach described it as a basketball play; Warriors guard Brandon Podziemski said the incident helped galvanise the team. Green has 179 career technical fouls and 23 ejections, and has received three technicals in the Warriors’ first eight games.
