Indie Outfit Catalytic Films To Launch At AFM With Four-Feature Slate Including James Franco Title ‘Something’s In There’

Milena Rimassa is launching Catalytic Films, an independent production, financing and sales company, at the 2026 American Film Market (AFM). The company’s debut slate has four features, led by *Something’s In There*, a supernatural horror thriller starring James Franco.

Written and directed by Joel Harber, the film follows aspiring filmmaker Billy Hobbs, who takes a night-watchman job at a film studio where unsettling events and deaths blur fiction and reality. Catalytic is also forming a strategic alliance with Unni Rav’s Visual Narrative Films: Rimassa will executive produce its slate, while Catalytic handles global distribution and international sales. Rimassa said the company aims to pair strong storytelling with the commercial expertise and relationships to reach audiences worldwide.
