Fans Choose Grupo Cañaveral & Olivia Wald’s ‘La Rosita de mi Boca’ as Best New Latin Music of the Week

Grupo Cañaveral and Olivia Wald’s “La Rosita de mi Boca” won readers’ vote for the week’s favourite new Latin music release, receiving more than 53 per cent of the poll. The result highlights the romantic cumbia collaboration’s appeal among voters.

The song’s title loosely translates as “the pink tint of my lips”, and its video shows Argentine pop artist Wald dancing with Cañaveral lead vocalist Emir Pabón. Pabón said the lyrics promote love and positivity, and described the group’s approach as rooted in cumbia while adapting to digital music. Chuyin’s “Fuga Pa San Carlos” was another popular choice, with more than 42 per cent of the vote.
