Fender and Kim Gordon Team up for Limited Edition Jazzmaster

Kim Gordon has collaborated with Fender on a limited-edition Jazzmaster guitar, drawing on the instrument’s history with Sonic Youth while adapting it for modern playability. The design combines traditional styling with changes Gordon wanted, including simplified controls and a mix of contrasting pickups.

The guitar has an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and Olympic White finish. Its pickups are a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker at the bridge and an Alnico V Jazzmaster single-coil at the neck; it also has a Mustang-style bridge and a modern C-shaped neck. Fender lists it at $1,099.99.
