Overwatch Mid-Season 5 Patch Notes Released With Big Tweaks
Blizzard’s Overwatch Season 5 mid-season patch brings a larger-than-usual set of hero changes, aimed at balancing characters and responding to recent gameplay adjustments. The update includes buffs for Illari and Anran, while several strong or frustrating abilities are being toned down.
Reaper gains health after projectile-size changes made him easier to hit, and Illari’s primary-fire charge time is reduced while her healing pylon restores more health. Mauga regains some armour and deals more burn damage; Ana’s grenade and Winston’s barrier healing are weakened. Doctrine receives longer cooldowns, while Jetpack Cat has less health but faster flight and slower fuel recovery. The patch also adjusts D.Mon, Sombra, Shion and Vendetta, among others.
In short
- Overwatch’s mid-season patch changes a broad range of heroes.
- Illari, Anran and Mauga receive buffs.
- Doctrine, Jetpack Cat and several others are toned down.
