Godzilla Officially Gets His First-Ever LEGO Set
The LEGO Group has announced its first Godzilla set, based on Legendary’s Monsterverse design. The 5,363-piece model is the largest LEGO Ideas set launched so far, giving collectors a highly detailed, poseable version of the monster for display.
LEGO Ideas Godzilla (21375) goes on sale on 27 November exclusively through LEGO’s website and stores for $449.99. It stands over 70 centimetres tall with its Heat Ray attached and has adjustable limbs, hands and fingers. Buyers from 27 to 30 November will also receive a 359-piece logo and footprint set while supplies last; the main model began as a fan submission by Matthew Esposito.

- LEGO’s first Godzilla set has 5,363 pieces.
- It costs $449.99 and launches on 27 November.
- Early buyers can get a bonus set while supplies last.
Explained simply
Godzilla is a giant fictional monster that first appeared in a Japanese film in 1954. The character has since featured in films, television and other media, with different versions created over the decades.
The set is based on Legendary’s Monsterverse, a series of films featuring Godzilla and other giant creatures. LEGO Ideas is a programme through which members of the public submit designs; selected ideas can be developed into sets. This model began as a submission by Matthew Esposito.
LEGO sets are often bought both for building and display. The model’s size, poseable parts and price place it among the company’s larger collector-focused releases, while the limited-time bonus is an additional item for early buyers.
