OPETH To Take ‘A Long Break’ After Completion Of Fall 2026 Latin American Tour
Opeth will take a “pretty long break” after finishing their Latin American tour, bassist Martin Mendez said in a radio interview. The pause is intended to give the band time to rest and recover before turning its attention to writing new music.

Opeth released its fourteenth studio album, *The Last Will and Testament*, in November 2024; vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt has previously spoken about the strain and repetition of touring and his preference for spending more time creating music.
