Manor Lords becomes “Manure Lords” in a stinky new update for the medieval city builder
Manor Lords update 0.8.117 has brought a range of previously tested features to the game’s stable branch, with major changes to farming and new ways to manage resources. The additions make crop growing more seasonal and introduce manure-based fertilisation, while expanding artisan production and settlement perks.
Players can assign families to collect animal dung and turn it into fertiliser at a Dunghill; farmhouse workers can use it to raise fallow-field fertility for just over two years. Wheat and rye favour winter sowing, while flax, barley and oats are spring crops, and an updated calendar shows field activities for the next 12 months. The patch also adds the Fishmonger, six perks for level-three settlements, and other balance changes; the developer says farming improvements were prioritised in response to Steam reviews.
In short
- Manor Lords adds dung collection and fertiliser to improve fallow-field fertility.
- Crops are divided into winter and spring planting seasons.
- Update 0.8.117 also adds a Fishmonger and six settlement perks.
