Mass Effect Fans Are Trying to Make This N7 Day the Biggest One Ever
BioWare made 7 November an annual Mass Effect celebration in 2012, drawing on the N7 insignia worn by Commander Shepard. After news of the studio’s closure, fans are organising this year’s event themselves, asking players to start a Mass Effect game together to show how much the series is still played and valued.
The group We Are Mass Effect has set the play-together window for Saturday, 7 November, from 2 to 5 p.m. ET, with players on consoles and the EA app invited to share screenshots or clips using #SaveMassEffect. Legendary Edition’s Steam record is 59,817 concurrent players, reached in May 2021; monthly peaks over the past year ranged from 4,200 to 6,500, excluding other platforms. A petition calling on EA to continue the series has gathered nearly 300,000 verified signatures, and fans also promoted the campaign with a Times Square billboard.
