Rapist husband ‘twice invited two men in a single night to abuse his unconscious wife and even asked one to leave an online review’, trial hears
A man in his 60s who has admitted raping his wife over a 20-year period allegedly drugged her and arranged for men he met online to sexually abuse her. Nine other men are on trial, and prosecutors say the case shows how the abuse escalated, with men invited to visit one after another while she was unconscious.
Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard that on 9 February last year, Philip Wild allegedly visited first, followed by Mohammed Sabir, who is accused of raping the woman; both deny the charges described. Prosecutors said the husband photographed the abuse and later asked Sabir to post an online review. In a separate alleged incident in September 2024, Graham Brougham and Sean Peers visited the home in turn; Brougham has admitted offences against the woman, while Peers is accused of sexual assault.
