Fast-growing budget airline launches 6 nonstop flights to orphaned Spirit routes — including international hotspots
Breeze Airways is adding nonstop flights to airports and destinations affected by Spirit Airlines’ closure, including new services from Pennsylvania, Florida and New York. The expansion could restore connections lost when Spirit stopped flying and give travellers more direct access to beach destinations and smaller cities.
The announced routes include Latrobe to Myrtle Beach from 9 February 2027 and Orlando from 26 May, plus Tampa flights to Montego Bay from 19 December 2026 and Santo Domingo from 18 June 2027. Tampa will also gain Cancun and St Thomas services in December 2026. From Buffalo, Breeze plans routes to Raleigh-Durham, Myrtle Beach and Charleston in late June and early July 2027; the Raleigh-Durham flight replaces a Frontier service ending this month. Breeze says it focuses on connecting underserved cities, and now operates more than 300 routes to 95 cities.
In short
- Breeze is adding six nonstop routes to cities left with fewer connections.
- New services link US airports with Caribbean and Mexican destinations.
- Buffalo’s Raleigh-Durham flight will replace a departing Frontier route.
