Escape From Tarkov Creator Reveals New Hardcore Sci-Fi Shooter

Nikita Buyanov, the game director behind Escape from Tarkov, has revealed Fragmentary Order, a new hardcore sci-fi tactical shooter. Its first gameplay showcase runs for 14 minutes and moves the extraction shooter formula to a future Solar System shaped by commercialised warfare.

Players control remotely operated clones called RepEnts on dangerous missions across large combat zones. The footage shows looting, inventory management, weapon customisation and firefights, alongside vehicles, drones and changing conditions; squads can include up to four players. Buyanov says he wants the game to become a lasting world, and a paid closed testing programme called Prime Batch will invite players to help develop it. The first closed alpha is planned for later this year under a nondisclosure agreement, with no full release date confirmed.
