Dalton Knecht makes most of first Knicks’ chance in blowout
Dalton Knecht made his Knicks debut in a 135-105 win over the Chicago Bulls, scoring 10 points and taking seven rebounds in 16 minutes. Called up from the team’s G-League affiliate while Josh Hart was out with ankle soreness, he gave the crowd a glimpse of his athleticism with a putback dunk and a chase-down block.
The 24-year-old joined New York on a two-way deal last month after the Lakers released him. Drafted 17th overall in 2024, he averaged 7.1 points and shot 36.8% from three for Los Angeles, with his role shrinking in his second season. Against Chicago, he made four of six shots, including two of four three-pointers.
