James D’Arcy, Jonathan Pryce & Lena Olin Board ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ As Sky Series Casts The Vanger Family

Sky’s eight-part adaptation of *The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo* has cast the Vanger family, adding Jonathan Pryce, James D’Arcy and Lena Olin to a large ensemble. The casting fills out the family at the centre of the mystery and gives the series scope to explore its rivalries and secrets in greater depth.

David Oyelowo and Viola Prettejohn lead as Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander. The story is updated to the present day: Blomkvist is asked by Vanger Enterprises chief Henrik Vanger to investigate the disappearance of his niece Harriet, a cold case dating back 40 years. Written by Amanda Coe, Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna, the series will be available on Sky in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
