Interscope Expands Into Brazil With Hip-Hop Artist BK, Supernova Entertainment Joint Venture

Interscope Records is expanding into Brazil through two deals: signing hip-hop artist BK and forming a joint venture and distribution partnership with Supernova Entertainment. The moves give the label access to BK’s audience and Supernova’s catalogue and future signings, as it seeks to help Brazilian artists reach international listeners.

BK’s first Interscope release will be a newly produced remix of his debut album, *Castelos & Ruinas*, marking its 10th anniversary. The Supernova partnership covers the label’s existing catalogue and new talent. Brazil’s music market grew 14.1% year on year, compared with 6.4% for the global industry, and overtook Canada to become the world’s eighth-largest market.
