Rookie QB Joe Fagnano’s wife steals show during his ugly first Ravens start
Rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano shared a brief hug and kiss with his wife, Lydia, on the sideline before his first start for Baltimore turned into a 33-10 home defeat by Jacksonville. The loss was the Ravens’ fourth in a row, and their offence has scored fewer than 14 points in each of those games, a first in team history.
Fagnano completed 10 of 18 passes for 60 yards and threw two interceptions, while Jacksonville forced three turnovers in heavy, intermittent rain. He played with his right ankle heavily wrapped after an injury against Buffalo; Lamar Jackson was out with a thumb injury and is expected to miss at least three games. Baltimore had signed Kedon Slovis and was reportedly finalising a trade for veteran Jacoby Brissett, who was not expected to play before 16 November.
In short
- Baltimore lost 33-10 to Jacksonville in Fagnano’s first start.
- Fagnano threw for 60 yards and two interceptions.
- Lamar Jackson is sidelined, with Brissett reportedly on the way.
