Georgina Baillie, who had a consensual relationship with Russell Brand, says the fallout from the 2008 “Sachsgate” broadcast damaged her life and her relationship with her grandfather, actor Andrew Sachs. After Brand was convicted of rape and three sexual assaults, she said she felt justice had been served, but was disappointed by his conduct and wanted him to make amends.

Baillie was 21 when she met Brand; their on-off affair lasted two years. Brand and Jonathan Ross later left Sachs messages on BBC Radio 2 describing Brand’s sex life with Baillie, prompting a national scandal. Baillie says she and her grandfather did not speak for eight years, and that she struggled with alcohol and drug addiction; she describes Brand as seriously unwell and a sex addict, while stressing that this does not excuse his crimes.
